308 meeting minutes

Open Mic Night is OCTOBER 22ND!! We want to have a good turnout for our first one of the year, so put it on your calenders and tell your friends!! Indicate that you are coming on the facebook event that Abby set up last night, and if you know you want to perform, please contact her.

 

We have yet to sell any ads for Dracula, and the performance dates are closer than you may think. PLEASE SELL ADS!. These sales are pertinent to the success and legitimacy of our show… in other words, they help make the 308 shows as great as they are. As we have GREATLY emphasized, water is a necessity for our intermission concessions. PLEASE BRING CASES OF WATER TO THE LITTLE THEATRE ASAP.

 

Next week we will have a “Homecoming Handbook,” with suggestions for accessories for the outfits. Keep in mind, while we want as many people as possible to participate, and we want people to go as crazy as they feel comfortable, please do not feel pressured to take part or go absolutely insane. Feel free to do only what you’re comfortable with.

 

Set crew has begun! They will be meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the shop. On a similar note, we are looking for tailors and seamstresses to aid in completing the set, as fabric is currently incorporated into the designs. Contact Mrs. Herman or Abby if you have sewing skills.

 

If you are not in the show and are not placed on running crew, there are still ways for you to be involved when show week hits! We are soon going to be sending around sign ups for ushers. Keep in mind that this year the ushers will be in costume. If you are interested, Mr. Morrow must approve your costume to make sure that it is cohesive with the ambiance and tone of the show.

 

Lilly Saffa is once again in charge of the program! Yay! She wants to start collecting bios, so if the cast could send their bios to lsaffa@darienps.org ASAP, that would be fantastic. She will ask for the crew bios at a later date.
